Our Story

Our Highest Good began with a simple belief: healing should never be a luxury. After decades of working in mental-health support and volunteering in community shelters, our founder, Anne Moutray, saw firsthand how many people were suffering not because help didn’t exist but because access did.

Her own healing journey reinforced this truth. Quality therapy changes lives. Compassion changes lives. But too often, those who need care the most face the steepest barriers to receiving it.

Inspired to create real change, Anne chose a different path. She built Our Highest Good as a space where cost, circumstance, or background do not determine someone’s ability to receive support. Joined by her niece, Katharine Moutray, together they formed a mission-driven team of therapists, advocates, and volunteers committed to bringing care within reach for everyone.

At the heart of our mission is the Caladrius bird—an ancient symbol of healing, hope, and restoration. Legend tells that the Caladrius is a pure white bird who visits those who are unwell. If it looks into a person’s eyes, it absorbs their illness, carries it away, and releases it back into the light. Its gift is not just healing, but the reassurance that no one must suffer alone.

We chose the Caladrius because it reflects our deepest promise:
to meet people where they are, to lift the weight they carry, and to guide them toward their highest good.

Today, Our Highest Good stands for accessible therapy, compassionate care, and a belief that healing expands outward one person, one session, one act of support at a time.

Together, we rise toward our highest good.

Our Mission

We exist to support people in affording the mental health care they need.

We do this by:

  • Curating, creating, and selling goods.

  • Giving 100% of net profits directly to people through scholarships for mental health services and donating to non-profits who share our vision to support people in receiving mental health services.

  • We vet mental health providers who can then refer their clients to our network, when they need financial support for mental health.

Why We Do This

Too often, people who need quality mental health services cannot afford it. The weight of financial stress, systemic inequities, and lack of resources leaves many without a pathway to healing. We believe mental health care is a human right. Together, with your support and our dedication, we are giving people who need it, a pathway to transformation and healing.
